Saket Vishwakarma
Saket Vishwakarma is an artist from Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, currently based in Gurugram. He holds a Bachelor’s
degree in Sculpture from Lalit Kala Sansthan, Jabalpur, and a Master’s degree in Sculpture from Government College of
Art, Chandigarh.
His practice emerges from close observations of everyday urban life and the subtle moments that often go unnoticed. He
is drawn to the ways in which people, objects, buildings, and other living beings negotiate and adapt to their
surroundings. Ordinary encounters, overlooked spaces, and seemingly insignificant incidents become starting points for
his visual explorations.
Influenced by folk narratives and traditional visual languages, Vishwakarma approaches contemporary urban spaces as
sites of stories, contradictions, and layered meanings. His practice moves across painting, sculpture, printmaking, light,
shadow, and installation, allowing him to explore ideas of memory, neglect, adaptation, and human relationships with the
spaces they inhabit.
Through his work, he creates moments of pause, inviting viewers to look beyond the familiar and discover the
unexpected within the ordinary.
