Rishabh was born into a Mahant lineage in the sacred city of Haridwar, where he was immersed in religious practices and traditions from a very young age. Growing up surrounded by rituals and spiritual customs, he began to question the norms and structures around me. This curiosity shaped the direction of my artistic journey.

Early experiences such as witnessing the treatment of idols once considered sacred, then discarded after being broken or aged deeply influenced my thinking. It disturbed him how objects once worshipped could suddenly lose their significance, revealing to him the fragile
surface of faith and the fading core of spiritual essence in modern religious practice. These contradictions urged me to explore ideas of
belief, identity, and value in my art.

This rational inquiry became the foundation of his artistic practice, which moves beyond tradition while still being rooted in it. His work
spans painting, drawing, collage and installations, and he actively experiment with conceptual art and installations to convey his ideas
with depth and critical engagement. He completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, and my Master of Fine Arts from College of Art Tilak Marg, New Delhi.

He has also worked with Bose Krishnamachari at Bikaner House, and also interned under Shailesh B.R. for his solo show at Vadhera Art Gallery.
