As someone drawn towards urban architecture, its forms and the feeling of home in this urban set-up, Megha attempts to capture the same in her works. She uses linear compositions in mixed media on canvas and paper, including etching and collage. Using a limited colour palette, the chosen medium reflects the hues of the artwork. These works serve as a form of communication with her late mother, who was an avid reader. Megha, less inclined towards reading, now delves into her mother’s library, attempting to understand her through the texts. The resulting compositions of overlapped text lines reflect the challenge of deciphering her mother’s thoughts and feelings. Megha Madan lives and works in New Delhi, India.
