      Treiborlang Lyngdoh Mawlong (b. 1987) is a visual artist with a  Master’s degree in Fine Arts, with Honours in Painting (2012) from  Kala Bhavan, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan. Treiborlang is a recipient of a  number of awards which include The Inlaks Fine Arts Award, Kala Sakshi  Award in Painting, Talented Young Artist Award from NEZCC, Scholarship  grant for the year 2012-2013 from Lalit Kala Akademi.
      He has participated in several solo and group exhibitions, including the Fumetto Festival, Lucerne (2019); Akar Prakar, New Delhi (2019); Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi (2018, 2016); the Indian Museum, Seoul (2016); Meghalaya Art Fest, Shillong (2014–2016); Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi (2014), He has also been  published as a comic artist/ writer and illustrator for publications  like Strapazin and National Book Trust.

      Treiborlang Mawlong, an artist from the Khasi hills of Meghalaya, creates evocative woodcuts that merge memory, autobiography, and narrative elements inspired by comic book language. His works explore human conditions—passion, grief, pride, and resilience—while also reflecting on the dignity of labour and the realities of rural life in Meghalaya. 

      Currently Treiborlang is teaching Art Education at District Institute of Education and Training, Nongstoiñ.
