Tanya Mehta
Tanya Mehta is a new media artist based in Bengaluru. She earned an MA from Goldsmiths College (London) in Photography (The Image and Electronic Arts) Her work blends photography, collage, digital painting, and fine-art printmaking. She adds movement and depth with modern techniques like code, animation, lenticular prints, and animated light boxes. She photographs everyday objects and transforms them into alternate realities through mixed media.
Tanya has exhibited widely. She staged solo shows such as The Unity of Opposites at Gallery Sumukha in Bengaluru (2017) and A Vision Beyond the Cave at Lalit Kala Akademi, Chennai (2016), organized by Gallery Sumukha. Her work has appeared at public venues like Bengaluru International Airport’s terminal installations. Her art also featured in group shows at India
Art Fair (New Delhi), Target Art Gallery (Washington DC), Shoreditch Town Hall and Goldsmiths NAB Space (London).
Tanya explores the gap between art, science, philosophy, and the metaphysical. She seeks to build bridges across them. She aims to guide audiences toward a shared truth through imagination.
