    Subhakar Tadi is a Vadodara-based artist born in 1980, at Andhra Pradesh. He works across several
    mediums, including printmaking, painting, and photography. Tadi holds a BFA in Printmaking
    from Andhra University (2002) and an MFA in Printmaking from M.S. University (2004). With a
    career spanning two decades, he has participated in numerous national and international
    exhibitions. His artistic practice is characterized by a deep exploration of the urban landscapes,
    where his paintings evokes a sense of unease and tension, rendering the city’s boulevards and
    facades as sites of political opacity and social corrosion.
    Throughout his career, Tadi has received numerous accolades for his contributions to the field of
    art. He was awarded the Honourable Mention Award at the 6th International Print Biennial in
    2004, and received the National Scholarship from the Department of Culture, Ministry of Human
    Resource Development, in 2005. He was also the recipient of the 77th AIFACS Award in 2005.
    Tadi has been invited to showcase his work in various international platforms, including the
    Symposium by International Art Culture Exchanging Association for 21st Century (IACEA) in
    South Korea. Additionally, he has participated in exhibitions at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale’s
    parallel show at Ford Kochi in 2018 and 2022. He displayed his works, in the Indo-Sri Lankan
    Cultural Exchange Art Exhibition at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery, Colombo in 2023. In recent
    one of his solo exhibition held by SJ Art Gallery, at South Korea, in 2024.

    1998-2002: B.F.A. in printmaking, Fine arts department. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
    2002-2004: M.F.A. in printmaking, Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda.
