Srinivas Pulagam
Based in Vadodara, Srinivas Pulagam works across painting, printmaking, and drawing. Grounded in Indian myths, rituals, and cultural traditions, his imagery stages the grandeur of divinity and the values embedded within it. Intricate, often theatrical compositions fold memory, heritage, and lived experience into reflections on how collective beliefs continue to shape life. The artist draws on his individual experience of common architectural spaces, and the conformity of materials and forms, that have been filtered through regulation and mass production. He restricts his visual palette to prefabricated construction materials and is inspired by Visakhapatnam homes, temples and other kind of buildings. His work is biographic in nature and a clear reflection of himself and his suburban background.
