Ravi Chaurasiya
Ravi’s (b. 1994) works are connected to the disintegrating ecology of the world. He uses earthen tones and animal figures to bring back the sense of living nature. His works suggest an immediacy of a call from nature – the need to pay attention to their need for continued survival.
Ravi has evolved his use of materials and craft; however, his subjects have continued to reflect his commitment to the natural environment, his deep seated concern about the state of the natural world.
Ravi is a BFA in Painting from Benaras Hindu University, and MFA in Painting from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Ravi has exhibited widely including Art Mumbai with Dhoomimal Art Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, Art and Charlie Mumbai, Gallery Positive New Delhi, India International Centre New Delhi, Serendipity Art Festival Goa, Jaipur Art Summit, Kochi Student Biennale, as well as Kochi Muziris Biennale.
Ravi lives and works in New Delhi.
