Kaushik Saha
Kaushik Saha is a contemporary artist whose stark abstract compositions interrogate the paradoxes of the modern city. His series A Piece of Land Within the Frame reveals layered urban terrains, where aerial viewpoints uncover minute human figures scattered across overwhelming landscapes, suggesting both resilience and entrapment. Saha’s works often conceal narratives of repressed lives and forgotten histories, inviting viewers to imagine the consequences of exploitation and dystopian futures. A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU Baroda (MFA Painting, 2014), he has exhibited in India and internationally, with solo and group shows at Galerie Mirchandani + Steinruecke, Exhibit 320, Tarq Mumbai, and Kunstsilo Altdorf, Switzerland. His works have been featured at the India Art Fair (2019, 2020) and acquired by collections including the Huerlimann Collection, Switzerland. Among his honors are the Inlaks Fine Arts Award (2014) and the National Academy Award from Lalit Kala Akademi (2016).
He currently lives and works in Vadodara, India.
