Digbijayee Khatua has a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Painting) from B. K. College of Art and Crafts, Bhubaneswar, Orissa in 2012, and a Master of Visual Arts (Painting) from the College of Art, New Delhi in 2015.His artworks are a reflection of contemporary landscapes marked with rapid urbanisation, power-lust, ecological instability and declining mental health conditions of the city dwellers.
Digbijayee works with watercolour on paper, paper cutouts and acrylic on canvas to capture intimate details of urban landscapes. He was awarded the 62nd National Award, Lalit Kala Akademi (New Delhi, 2022) and the Gold Medal from the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation (Mumbai, 2018). He has been part of residencies including the FLAME Artists’ Residency, Flame University (Pune, 2019), the Ekaant Artist Residency (Bhavnagar, 2019), the Piramal Art Residency (Mumbai, 2016) etc.  His selected group exhibitions include Naya Anjor, curated by Arushi Vats, Anant Art (New Delhi, 2022), Malhar, Anant Art (New Delhi, 2020), Telling Tales: A Journey Into Narrative Forms, Anant Art, Bikaner House (New Delhi, 2018), among others. His works have been exhibited at several editions of the India Art Fair with Anant Art (New Delhi, 2019, 2020, 2024), Shrishti Art Gallery (Hyderabad, 2019), MOMus Museum of Contemporary Art (Greece, 2019), etc.
