Bharti Verma
Bharti Verma (B. 1987, Delhi) has a MFA from college of Art, Delhi, (Gold Medallist) 2012. Her works have been exhibited in solo and group shows including the one at Art heritage gallery, the Post human metropolis (2014), City of dreams curated by Tanya Abraham, solo show at Kashi art gallery (2019). Group shows ‘the nest’ group show curated by Aditi Ghildiyal online show in Anant art gallery. The body group show curated by Johny ML Shanghugham Art museum, Kerala (2019). Emerging canvas v -Indo – Korea show curated by Vaishnavi Ramnathan in Lalit Kala Academy, Chennai (2018). Emerging palettes group show by Shrishti art gallery, Hyderabad (2016). She has many awards residency scholarship research grant scholarship by Lalit Kala Akademi, Garhi studio, New Delhi (2013-14). Junior research fellowship, by Ministry of Culture Human Resource development, Govt. of India (2012-13), scholarship from Krishna Kriti art foundation, Hyderabad (2009-12). Bharti’s work explores building are an integral part painting because of their special and unique visual appeal to her. Most of her works are monochromatic in nature, creating a mystery though introducing one colour in the colour scheme. The artist lives and work in Gurugram, India.
