Narendra Kumar Sain
Born in 1998(Jaipur, India), Narendra Kumar Sain is a multidisciplinary visual art practitioner, working across mediums, exploring Printmaking and painting and ceramic. He holds a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Printmaking from the Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University at Santiniketan, where he was awarded a Merit Stipends in 2023 and a Bachelor of Visual Arts (B.V.A.) in Painting from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He recently completed Lalit Kala Akademi Research Scholarship (Garhi Scholarship 2023-2024 batch) at the Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre, Kolkata.
His artistic inquiry often draws from regional histories, folk narratives, and vernacular rituals, using them as metaphors to examine idenity, belonging, and marginalization. His recent research-driven projects explore ideas of permanence and exclusion through visual and narrative forms, combining painting, photography, and material exploration. He is particularly interested in how landscapes both physical and cultural shape human experience and memory.
As an active practitioner in the contemporary art scene, He participated in notable national and international exhibitions and platforms such as the London Original Print Fair (2025), 6th Egypt International Print Biennale (2025), Jaipur Art Week (2023, 2024), IPC Taiwan Mini Print Exhibition (2022), Bombay Art Society exhibitions, CIMA Award Show, Art Incept, Round Them Oranges and Solo show curated by Manish Sharma, at Ravindra Manch, Jaipur and many others.
