Khushboo Sharma is a visual artist and a graduate in Fine Arts from the College of Art, New Delhi. And pursuing master in college of art. Although she currently reside in Delhi, her ancestral roots lie in Isampur Village, located in the Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. After completing her graduation, she found herself increasingly drawn to her family and her native village. Personal reasons led her to spend more time there, and in doing so, she began to rediscover a deeper connection with her cultural identity and traditional practices. These experiences have played a significant role in shaping her artistic vision. One of the most profound influences in her life has been
her mother. Her mother has shaped not just her values and emotions, but also her creative process. From a young age, Khushboo was drawn to the stories she shared stories of her childhood and youth, filled with the everyday beauty of domestic life and artistic labour. Her mother spoke of lipaai, puttai, kadaai (embroidery), and sillaai (sewing) practices that were part of her routine, but which she came to see as acts of devotion,
memory, and care. Even today, her mother continues to sew with the same calm and focus, and her steady hands and quiet presence continue to inspire her.

Her current work reflects on the tension between tradition and modernity, the sacred and the
everyday, presence and absence, and the remembered and the forgotten. Through intimate and often
autobiographical references, she connects personal experiences to broader questions of cultural
identity, gender, continuity and transformation. In this way, my practice becomes a bridge between
generations, between village and city, and between the visible and the remembered.
